"Bahrain's Ministry of Foreign Affairs strongly condemns the abduction of Ahmed Awadh bin Mubarak, office director of Yemen's president and Secretary-General of the National Reconciliation Dialogue Conference, by groups affiliated to the Houthi militias," the Ministry said in a statement.
"The Ministry of Foreign Affairs stresses that such terrorist acts aim at undermining the political process in the Republic of Yemen, and destabilize security and stability," the statement also said.
The ministry called on "all parties to assume their responsibilities in the rejection of violence and hatred, and support all efforts to end the conflict and work on the outputs of the national reconciliation dialogue conference, agreement of peace and national partnership, and the implementation of the relevant Security Council resolutions."
