
Bahrain embassy in Saudi Arabia has hosted a reception ceremony at the Ritz Carlton Hotel on the occasion of the National Days on December 16 and 17, marking the anniversary of the establishment of the modern state of Bahrain as an Arab and Muslim country in 1783 by its founder Ahmed Al-Fateh, the 43rd Anniversary of its accession to the UN as a full member and the 15th Anniversary of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al-Khalifa’s Accession to the Throne.
It was attended mainly by Riyadh Governor His Royal Highness Prince Turki bin Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, princes, ministers, senior officials, Shura Council members, public figures, ambassadors, businessmen, media persons, journalists, members of the Bahraini community in Riyadh and invitees.
HRH Prince Turki and the guests were welcomed on arrival by Bahraini Ambassador to Saudi Arabia Shaikh Humood bin Abdullah Al Khalifa and the embassy staff. HRH Prince Turki conveyed the greetings and good wishes to the Bahraini leadership and people of Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Crown Prince, Deputy Premier and Defence Minister HRH Prince Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud and Second-in-Line to the Throne and Personal Advisor to the Saudi Monarch HRH Prince Moqrin bin Abdulaziz Al Saud.
HRH Prince Turki took pride in solid and deep-rooted fraternal relations binding both countries, expressing happiness about taking part in Bahrain's celebrations of its National Days. He toured a photo gallery, prepared and compiled by Bahraini researcher Saqr bin Abdullah Al Ma'awda, depicting historic relations between the two kingdoms, including a visit by the late founding monarch King Abdulaziz bin Abdulrahman Al Saud in 1939.
The Bahraini ambassador thanked Riyadh Region for offering illuminated boards with pictures of HM King Hamad and Bahrain's flag which adorned the entry of the hotel.
