
His Royal Highness Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa received at the Gudaibiya Palace today Parliament Speaker Ahmed bin Ibrahim Al Mulla, former Speaker Khalifa bin Ahmed Al Dhahrani, MPs and Shura Council members, in the presence of a number of senior state officials.
HRH Premier affirmed that government-parliament cooperation will go forward in order to add a new dimension to Bahrain's parliamentary experience.
He said that the government considers the Representatives Council its "strategic partner in national work, and believes that its initiatives emanate from the aspirations of the citizens. Therefore, there is no room for differences for they share the same goal of upgrading the nation and improving the citizens' standards of living."
"Our development policies face many challenges, particularly the global economic developments and the efforts to strengthen the pillars of security and stability, but with determination and resolve, we are capable of overcoming that and carrying on the development and progress march whose fruits will be reaped by the citizens through improved living standards, jobs and training opportunity," he said.
He called for the need to strengthen the strategic partnership among the components of national work and be aware of the challenges in order to continue moving towards the future confidently, supported by a united, cohesive and nation-loving people, whose members are the real goal of every landmark national achievement.
