The present Cairo visit of Bahraini King Hamad bin Issa al Khalifa adds new significance to ties between the two countries and peoples, Bahrain's Shura Council Chairman Ali bin Saleh al Saleh said.
The chairman hailed the outcome of the Bahraini-Egyptian summit, which grouped the king with President Abdel Fattah El Sisi and addressed the latest developments at the regional level and challenges facing the Arab and Islamic nations against the growing wave of terrorism and foreign interference, the Bahrain News Agency (BNA) reported.
He underlined the importance of agreements signed between the two sides during the visit in the military, diplomatic, economic, trade and cultural domains.
He also shed light on the king's meetings with Al Azhar Grand Imam Ahmed el Tayeb and Pope Tawadros II of Alexandria and the Saint Mark Diocese.
