Bahrain will host tomorrow the Coordination and Follow-up Committee meeting of the GCC Shura and Representatives Councils’ Secretaries General, which will continue till November 28. The meeting will spotlight key issues on its agenda, including progress in studying a proposal by the Bahraini parliament to set up a Secretariat General for the meetings of the GCC National Assemblies Secretaries General and Chairpersons of the legislative councils, Assistant Secretary General for Human and Financial Resources, Information Technology and Services at the Representatives Council’s Secretariat General Mohammed Hassan Al Gharib said. He also pointed out that the meeting will also focus on the common website of the annual meeting of the GCC National Assemblies’ Secretaries General http://www.gccpsg.com and progress in its development and assessment of its content. He added that participants in the meeting will also discuss joint training programmes and workshops aimed at honing skills and keeping abreast of technological advancement. It is to note that Bahrain will host the 6th meeting of the GCC National Assemblies’ Chairpersons due to be held on December 8 and 9.
