
The Minister of Foreign Affairs Shaikh Khalid bin Ahmed bin Mohammed Al Khalifa on Sunday met the first deputy Speaker of the Council of Representatives, Ali Abdullah Al-Aradi.
The Minister welcomed the first deputy Speaker and hailed the key role of the Council of Representative in reinforcing democracy and human rights processes in the Kingdom of Bahrain through the effective and ambitious tools offered by the reform project of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and the Royal keenness to support the legislative power and its significant role in society.
The minister also lauded the positive cooperation between the executive and legislative powers and affirmed the need for continual cooperation between the two branches for the benefit of the nation and its citizens.
He also affirmed the significant role the council could play while cooperating with international organizations and parliaments of brotherly and friendly countries to highlight the progress being witnessed by the Kingdom of Bahrain at all levels.
For his part, the first deputy Speaker expressed pleasure to have met the Minister of Foreign Affairs affirming the Council of Representatives’ desire to constantly cooperate with the executive power, out of firm belief that such cooperation would benefit the people and yield more growth and development in all domains.
During the meeting, a number of issues of common interest were discussed.
