
Foreign Minister Shaikh Khalid bin Ahmed bin Mohammed Al-Khalifa today hailed the royal keynote address at the opening of the 1st session for the 4th legislative term. "The speech of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al-Khalifa chartered a blueprint for Bahrain's development and progress", he said, hailing the royal address for its deep insight and holistic approach.
In a statement to Bahrain News Agency (BNA), he underscored the importance of the speech in focusing on vital housing, educational and health services, supporting the national economy and highlighting the crucial role of the young generation, being the pillar of Bahrain's future.
The minister paid tribute to HM the King for underlining the importance of establishing the GCC Union, saying that member states will achieve this crucial goal sooner or later. He affirmed the ministry's cooperation with all human rights watchdogs, including the United Nations Commission on Human Rights (UNCHR).
He hailed the deep relations of partnership bonding the GCC member states with Jordan and Morocco, pointing out that joint ties would gain more impetus in the future. In his statement to Bahrain News Agency (BNA)), he described GCC relations with Egypt as being highly strategic and vital, stressing the importance of joint relations which are key to regional stability.
