
Human Rights Affairs Minister Dr. Salah bin Ali Abdulrahman has received here the outgoing Algerian Ambassador to Bahrain Nejib Snoussi.
The Minister affirmed the long-standing solid ties bonding the two brotherly countries in all fields.
He reviewed with the Ambassador the Kingdom’s bright human rights record.
In this regard, he said that during His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa’s prosperous era and thanks to the strong support of His Royal Highness Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa and His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander and First Deputy Premier, the kingdom has consolidated human rights institutions, citing the establishment of human rights NGOs, the National Institution for Human Rights (NIHR) and the Ministry of Human Rights Affairs, as well as the issuance of national laws and ratification of international conventions and agreements on protecting human rights.
He commended the efforts exerted by Ambassador Senoussi to enhance bilateral relations, wishing further success.
The Algerian Ambassador expressed sincere thanks and appreciation to the Minister for the meeting, expressing hope that Algerian-Bahraini relations will develop further.
He said that Bahrain’s human rights experience is among the most promising ones, and should be a model for other societies.
