
His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, today at Sakhir Palace, received National Audit Office (NAO) President, Hassan bin Khalifa Al-Jalahma, who submitted the 2013/14 annual audit report.
HM the King praised the efforts made by NAO President and staff, noting their outstanding performance and progress made in respect of preserving public money and achieving credibility, independence and transparency.
HM the King stressed the importance of preserving public money and ways to control spending and rationalization. He hailed the NAO role in taking such responsibility to contribute to improving the performance of ministries and government institutions in the interest of the country and citizens.
Following the meeting, NAO President said the 2013/2014 audit report has been submitted to HM the King according to Article 19 of NAO Statute.
He added the annual audit report contains key observations and recommendations the NAO reached through financial, administrative and performance work accomplished during the year 2013/2014.
He noted the development witnessed by NAO, thanks to the support of HM King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa
