
His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa has stressed the key role played by Shura Council in reinforcing democratic and comprehensive development processes.
This came as HM the King, today in Sakhir Palace, received Shura Council Chairman, Ali bin Saleh Al Saleh, and the accompanying delegation.
HM the King paid tribute to Shura members' keenness to constantly push Bahrain's development march, and the knowledge and expertise they enjoy that qualify them taking appropriate decisions.
HM the King highlighted resolve to promote economic development in the interest of the people of Bahrain.
HM the King hailed the achievements made by the Shura Council at the national level, and its role in adopting issues related to the Bahraini community and developing laws and legislations in the direction of bolstering principles of the state of institutions and law for the benefit of the nation. He also commended its role in enhancing cooperation between legislative and executive branches to support the joint Arab action march.
HM the King praised the Shura Council's efforts in promoting Bahrain's international standing and strengthening relations and cooperation with its counterparts.
HM the King asserted the reforms and development process continue in all fields, wishing Shura members further success to serve the homeland and achieve its people's aspirations toward a more prosperous future.
Shura Chairman expressed gratitude to HM the King, and underscored willingness to taking responsibility and defying challenges in the favour of the citizens.
