
Bahrain's Minister of Social Development Dr. Fatima Mohammed Al-Balushi on Tuesday stressed the importance of tackling the problem of social guidance.
At the opening speech of the 9th forum of the GCC societies, Al-Balushi said the Ministry coordinated with Bahraini Sociologists Society to conduct a study on social workers, adding that the study revealed there should be a strategic plan to improve social workers.
She affirmed that the forum organized by Bahraini Sociologists Society in cooperation with Gulf Sociologists Society provide a platform for GCC social workers to exchange their views and discuss future prospects of social services in the GCC states.
Addressing the attendees, the chairman of Gulf Sociologists Society Khalaf Ahamad said that the forum boosts ties among GCC sociologists societies and unites their efforts.
The three-day forum focuses on assessing conditions and fields of social guidance as well as its obstacles and challenges in the GCC states.
