His Royal Highness Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa has affirmed that the successive and rapid developments and their repercussions on the region require doubled vigilance and more coordination at the GCC and Arab levels.
This came as he received at the Gudaibiya Palace today a number of MPs and Shura Council members, in the presence of former Speaker Khalifa bin Ahmed Al Dhahrani, First Deputy Speaker Ali Al Aradi and state officials.
HRH Premier stressed that security and stability should top the agenda of the executive and legislative branches.
"In light of the existing challenges, a secure atmosphere is needed to implement development programmes and ensure their success," he said, noting that security tops the citizens' expectations from the two branches.
In a related context, HRH Premier lauded government-parliament cooperation through which, he said, all obstacles will be removed as long as the two branches are determined to double national achievements.
He expressed optimism about the future of executive-legislative cooperation which, he asserted, has always –and will remain- strong as the best means to consolidate the democratic march in the kingdom.
HRH Premier pledged that the government will always keep its doors open for cooperation with the Representatives Council, out of its belief that cooperation is a catalyst for more achievements.
He expressed optimism in the future of the development process in light of the existing government-legislature cooperation.
