Bahraini Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa on Wednesday applauded the level of bilateral relations reached between his country and Kuwait.
This extolment came to the fore in a meeting he had here with visiting Kuwaiti First Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Sheikh Sabah Al-Khaled Al-Hamad Al-Sabah who headed a delegation to the eighth Kuwaiti-Bahraini joint committee ministerial meeting.
The prime minister praised Kuwaiti efforts in pushing ahead growth and development in Bahrain and in promoting good ties among GCC member states.
He endorsed strongly the imperative to establish joint ventures between the two countries and to activate existent bilateral agreements.
Furthermore, he looked forward to seeing the ideas propounded at the joint committee meeting come to light as the two nations forge ahead in their close and firm relations.
He stressed the notion that the GCC has assumed a weighty international political and economic presence at a juncture when the region is seemingly caught up in socio-political instability and turmoil.
On his part, the Kuwaiti first deputy premier and foreign minister relayed to the Bahraini prime minister the greetings and well-wishes of the Kuwaiti leadership to the people and leadership of the Kingdom of Bahrain.
