His Royal Highness Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa has urged more vigilance and resolute determination to face the plots and practices of subversive groups, whose members intimidate people by their terrorist actions and provoke them by inciting sedition.
They also seek to disrupt the Kingdom's development and economic progress by raising political issues and creating crises for the aim of derailing the government's focus on policies to enhance the country's development and progress and serve the citizens, he said.
"Despite our success in foiling their evil intentions by our unity, and the Bahraini people's exemplary cohesion and patriotism, their attempts are still continuing, and we will not be surprised by their hidden intentions, or attempt to try again," he added.
HRH Premier assured the citizens that Bahrain is "fine", and is in dire need for them to unify their stances and rally together in order to preserve its hard-won achievements and safeguard its security and stability.
"It's a long way to go, but, together, we will inevitably reach our goals. We are resolved and determined to do so, since our ultimate goal is a prosperous nation in which all its citizens enjoy security and decent living," he said.
HRH the Prime Minister voiced the stances as he received at the Gudaibiya Palace today scores of citizens, led by clerics, media persons and businessmen.
HRH Premier affirmed the vital role of the private sector in spurring economic development, noting that the government has provided laws and systems to improve the investment atmosphere, encourage the implementation of development and urban projects and safeguard them against failure.
He stressed that the issue of stalling project is an odd phenomenon in a country which is known for its solid investment system such as Bahrain, which, he said, made the government adopt proactive measures and laws that provide more guarantors that that prevent projects from stalling and protect the national economy.
He affirmed the government's interest in encouraging economic growth through mechanisms that allow small and medium-sized industries to grow and flourish.
He expressed delight at the high quality of the products of Bahraini industries and their ability to compete at regional and international markets.
He asserted that the national industries sector is a promising one, and called on the private sector to focus more on them, especially on popular and heritage ones, along with modern industries.
He also urged the private sector and businessmen to increase their investments in the industrial sector in order to enhance its diversity and generate more rewarding job opportunities for the national workforce, calling for need to support emerging industries and the goods of productive families regarding marketing and promotion.
On regional and global issues, HRH Premier the rapid developments in the region and some neighbouring countries require more awareness and vigilance, and concerted efforts to safeguard the Kingdom's milestone achievements and progress at all levels.
"Politics should not distract us from carrying on our efforts to develop the nation and spur the economy," he said, emphasising groups trying to spread panic and fear among the citizens through terrorism and sabotage should not be allowed to achieve their evil intentions for the interests of the Bahraini people and the future generations.
He stressed the need to take optimum advantage of the on-going chaos and instability in neighboring countries, by strengthening the kingdom's ties with GCC and Arab countries in order to face the plots staged against the region for the aim of dividing and fragmenting it.
