
The Council of Representatives' Speaker Ahmed Ibrahim Al Mulla said the upcoming period will see parliamentary move aimed to coordinate and communicate with municipal councils in order to unify efforts and achieve greatest amount of accomplishments in the interest of the homeland and citizens.
The Speaker has affirmed the significance of parliamentary-municipal cooperation and integration and constant efforts aimed to surmount all challenges and to achieve the aspirations as well as carry out the duties and responsibilities without crisscrossing in jurisdictions. He stressed the wish of parliament to adopt all proposals and amendments which contribute in developing municipal work and the elected members. He also praised the leading role undertaken by members of municipal councils, appreciating their continual keen efforts and hard work.
These remarks came as the Speaker met the Chairman of the Municipal Council of Muharraq Governorate, Mohammed Al Sinan, and council members. The meeting explored various topics of mutual concern and the role of the municipal council in addressing such issues and developing municipal services.
