Bahrain's Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa emphasized the latest actions taken by the government aimed to ensure that the political activity path remains free from exploitation that tarnishes the democratic openness in the Kingdom of Bahrain and in harmony with the national reform and development policy led by King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa.
The latest action aimed at keeping politics away from extremism, lawlessness or subject to foreign religious leaders and away from indoctrinated sectarianism seeking to achieve unpatriotic political gains, he said.
The actions are in compliance with the Constitution and the Laws and have been taken by a fair and independent judiciary, Bahrain News Agency (BNA) quoted Prince Khalifa as saying on Tuesday night.
HE said the recent actions taken against violators of laws and regulations come within the context of a bundle of initiatives aimed to ensure citizens' security, stability and to ensure the sealing of any loopholes for external interventions in the local affair.
He added that directives have been issued to the respective ministries and governmental agencies that they have all powers to enforce the law on violating institutions and individuals and that no voice should be louder than the voice of the law.
Regional developments require decisiveness and strictly dealing with anybody who ignites the fire of strife, seeks to wreak havoc on earth, feeds terrorist elements to undermine the national gains or targets the safety of citizens and residents, the Prime Minister said, adding "we will never let the Kingdom of Bahrain which is the oasis of security and stability to become a place for terrorism or destructive doctrines and ideologies."
