Bahrini president receives Saqr bin Abdullah

Information Affairs Authority (IAA) President Shaikh Fawaz bin Mohammed Al Khalifa received today Saqr bin Abdullah Al Ma'awda, the compiler of a book on the GCC countries in the press of the past. He hailed the distinguished efforts made by the author in compiling and documenting the valuable book which has been written following instructions by IAA as part of its media strategy to cover the 33rd GCC Summit, which will be hosted by Bahrain next December. He also underlined the authority's readiness to present a collection of radio and TV programmes which reflect deep-rooted relations between the GCC countries, stressing the vital role of the media sector in further bolstering the GCC unity. On his part, Mr. Al Ma'awda thanked the IAA President for his support, lauding his efforts to upgrade the media sector in Bahrain and highlight the government's achievements under the reform project of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa.
