
Sudanese President Omar al Bashir has hailed as distinguished relations between Egypt and Sudan.
He praised efforts by Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El Sisi to boost bilateral ties.
Bashir was speaking in a popular gathering as part of his electoral campaign.
The president promised to complete development projects across Sudan.
He said his country would achieve Arab food security through the initiative he had launched and is now adopted by the Arab League.
Sudan is starting a new phase of development, Bashir told the gathering.
He expected a flow of agricultural, tourism and economic investments to the northern state in Sudan.
