Representative of President of the Republic at the 26th Arab Summit, Abdelkader Bensalah, called Saturday, in Sharm el-Sheikh (Egypt), to support the rounds of the inter-Libyan negotiation.
“The brotherly Libyan people deserve our solidarity and we are called to support the different rounds of the inter-Libyan dialogue,” said Bensalah in his speech before the Arab leaders.
“Algeria made huge efforts as part of the mechanism of neighbouring countries to bring the Libyan antagonists’ views closer and create the appropriate conditions to gather all the parties, except terrorist groups,” he said.
Algeria, added Bensalah, “has recently hosted a meeting within the framework of the inter-Libyan dialogue, under the aegis of the United Nations,” pointing out that “the participants in this meeting consent on an agreement in principle on the formation of a national government for the establishment of constitutional institutions, as part of a political settlement, far from any foreign interference.”
