
Lebanese Parliament Speaker Nabih Berri received an invitation from Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El Sisi to attend the inauguration ceremony of the New Suez Canal.
The invitation was handed by Egypt's Ambassador here Mohamed Badr Eldin Zayed.
In a press conference held after meeting with Berri, Zayed said that this project is very important as it was implemented in less than one year by Egyptian manpower.
Zayed underlined that Berri expressed his happiness to participate in that great event.
Another invitation was handed to the Lebanese Prime Minister Tammam Salam, Zayed noted.
The meeting took up also the latest Lebanese developments, he reiterated.
