
Social Affairs Minister Pierre Bou Assi met at his ministerial office with Italian Deputy Foreign Minister for International Cooperation, Vincenzo Amendola, who started his meetings in Lebanon, accompanied by Italian Ambassador, Massimo Marutti, and a delegation from the embassy.
Bou Assi discussed with the delegation cooperation files, mainly on the humanitarian, commercial, industrial and political levels, offering a detailed presentation "about the political situation in Lebanon since the election of President Michel Aoun, down to the upcoming parliamentary elections."
The minister tackled with the Italian envoy "the repercussions of the crisis the Syrian displacement," stressing "the necessity of international community's support for the Lebanese citizens, along with their support for displaced Syrians."
