
A cache and two workshops for homemade bombs were discovered Thursday during a combing operation conducted by a detachment of People's National Army in the locality of El-Aouana, in Jijel (359-km east of Algiers), said Friday the Ministry of National Defence in a statement.
"As part of the fight against terrorism and during a search and combing operation conducted in the locality of El-Nechma in El-Aouana in the province of Jijel (5th Military Region), a detachment of the People's National Army discovered, on 27 August 2015, a cache, two workshops for homemade bombs and two homemade missile launchers," said the statement.
During this operation, the Army detachment recovered "two hunting rifles, a homemade antipersonnel grenade, 30 Kg of TNT, 10 Kg of black blasting powder, liquid chemical products for explosives and three power generators," said the statement.
