
The Egyptian consulate in Paris has finalized procedures sending home the body of former Cairo governor Abdel Azeem Wazir who passed away during a medical treatment trip in France, according to Egypt's acting General Consul in Paris Serenad Gameel.
In statements to MENA here on Monday, the Egyptian diplomat said Wazir's body will be flown home on board an EgyptAir flight from Paris.
Wazir, born in 1945 in Beni Suef, was appointed governor of Cairo in 2004 and until 2011. He was previously governor of Damietta.
