Cairo, Riyadh cornerstones of Arab region

The Saudi Alriyadh newspaper highlighted in its editorial Friday the importance of relations between Egypt and Saudi Arabia, being the cornerstone of the Arab region.

Under the headline "Riyadh and Cairo: Distinguished relations serving the region", the paper said both Arab capitals have always recognized regional challenges and coordinated stances towards developments.

Cairo and Riyadh continued to launch initiatives and offer ideas to be always able to keep pace with updates at the regional and international levels and within the various political, economic and cultural contexts.

The editorial of Alriyadh concluded by noting that international powers always kept an eye on the level of relations maintained by both capitals.
