A committee, formed by Cairo Chamber of Commerce (CCC), inspected the site of the fire that erupted Wednesday in the ancient neighborhood of Ghoureya, the CCC said in a statement on Thursday.
Also, the committee is following up the effects of blaze that broke out on the commercial Rowaei Street downtown Cairo’s Attaba district late on Sunday, the statement added.
Furthermore, it is coordinating with bodies concerned to estimate losses of Attaba fire, according to the statement.
For his part, Director of Public Utilities at Cairo's Downtown area Osama Hamdy said officials of the Cairo City all and municipal council have finalized the inspection process at the scene.
The bodies concerned are working on identifying the circumstances of the incident and its details after the losses incurred by a number of textile shops as a result of the fire in Attaba have been counted, he added.
