
Minister of Housing, Utilities and Urban communities Mostafa Madbouly has asserted that the Chinese company "CSCEC" has completed the designs of government buildings in the new administrative capital near Cairo.
In a statement by the ministry on Thursday, he said the company officials posted an Egyptian delegation currently on a visit to China on 24 designs for 12 ministries to be carried out in the first phase of the project.
He added that a delegation of Egyptian consultants took part in the designs, adding the delegation members will meet the prime minister upon their return on the details of the project.
He said the delegation met with officials of Wanda Group, the biggest investment mortgage company in China, which has assets and investments estimated at 300 billion dollars, adding that officials expressed interest in carrying out projects in the administrative capital.
The delegation members also held a meeting with the president of the Asian bank whose capital is estimated at 100 billion dollars.
The bank officials expressed readiness to invest in projects in Egypt especially in the Suez Canal project and East Port Said project.
The minister of housing also met officials of the China-Africa Development Fund who expressed desire in carrying out the monorail project which is expected to link the October 6th City and Bolaq area in the Greater Cairo area.
