
Egypt's Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukri on Sunday said the ministry communicated with its Kuwaiti counterpart to settle the problems of Egyptian expatriates.
The minister added that the foreign ministry followed up the situation and work to solve the expatriates' problem after the Kuwaiti interior ministry developed new measures with regard to the residence law for expats.
Egyptian embassy in Kuwait is making contacts with the Kuwaiti authorities to settle the problems of Egyptians whose passports have expired.
Egyptian Ambassador in Kuwait Abdel-Karim Suleiman also contacted senior Kuwaiti officials to grant the Egyptians time to renew their passports.
According to the Kuwaiti laws, any resident should be fined if their passports were lost or expired
