
Corruption has several negative consequences on society and economy, as it leads to diminishing investment and hindering sustainable development, said Investment Minister Dalia Khorshid.
During a conference on cooperation against corruption, organized by the Egyptian Junior Business Association, first undersecretary of investment minister Iva Sedik, who delivered a speech on behalf of Khorshid, said that the government works on restoring transparency and integrity with the support of effective administrative bodies.
She also said that confronting corruption contributes to improving the efficiency of the administrative and governmental bodies in the state.
The government exerts tireless efforts to confronting corruption, she added.
She, meanwhile, said that the Egyptian government attaches great importance to providing a climate conducive to investment.
