The Court of Cassation decided during a session Tuesday under counselor Adel El Kinany, the vice president of the court, to annul a previous ruling by the criminal court on sentencing 9 defendants including the nephew of ousted president Mohamed Morsi to 5 years in prison over the storming of a building at Zagazig university after the June 30 revolution.
The cassation court ordered the retrial of the defendants at the criminal court in Zagazig.
They face charges of taking part in acts of riot on November 11, 2013, sabotaging public property including the office of the president of Zagazig university and the use of force to destabilize the country.
