The Czech deputy assistant foreign minister for non-European countries Ivan Jancarek has met with Egypt's assistant foreign minister Hossam Zaki to discuss means of boosting political, economic, cultural and security cooperation.
The meeting also tackled preparations for an upcoming visit by the Czech foreign minister to Egypt early 2016.
The Czech foreign minister will be leading a delegation of businessmen interested in investing in Egypt, Jancarek said in statements to MENA Monday before leaving back home.
Jancarek said his talks with Zaki took up the latest developments in Europe, as well as issues related to the UN in light of Egypt's non-permanent membership of the Security Council.
The meeting also focused on the situation in the Middle East region, he added.
Jancarek said his country is looking forward to enhancing economic cooperation with Egypt.
