Daesh claims taking Iraqi pilot as hostage

A terrorist group, controlling wide areas in Iraq and Syria, has claimed taking an Iraqi pilot as hostage in a town in northern Iraq.
The man was kidnapped after his aircraft was shot down by artillery of Daesh fighters in Balad, 80km north of Baghdad, a radio station run by Daesh group claimed.
The alleged kidnap came days after the group said it seized a Jordanian pilot. Despite a Jordanian denial, Daesh said it downed the pilot's jet fighter.
There was no immediate comment from Iraqi authorities about the alleged kidnap.
