Egypt's Dar Al-Ifta warned of the danger of fueling sectarian rift in Egypt similar to what happened in Iraq, Syria and other countries and communities that were hit and torn apart by sectarianism.
Commenting on reports on incidents that took place in the Upper Egyptian governorate of Minya, Dar Al-Ifta, in a statement on Friday, said the Egyptian community is strong and coherent and nobody could sow sectarian seeds among its sons.
Egypt's enemies are always seeking to foment sectarian tension to harm its security, the statement added.
The statement urged all parties to unite in face of these attempts.
