
Egypt's Dar al-Ifta has issued during 2015 more than 60,000 fatwas and sent missions to several countries, including Austria, The Netherlands, France, Italy, Belgium, Spain, Singapore, Greece and the US, to disseminate the moderate teachings of Islam, according to Dar al- Ifta annual report.
The report considered the EU's parliament ratification of Egypt's Dar al-Iftaa as the fatwa reference as one of the most important achievements of Dar al-Iftaa in 2015.
The report added that the first international fatwa conference was held under the auspices of President Abdel Fattah El Sisi.
Dar al-Ifta has also issued an English e-magazine "Insight" to confront the extremist thought purported by Daesh magazine.
Dar al-Iftaa has also issued an encyclopedia of about 1,000 religious edicts that was translated into English and French.
Dar al-Iftaa also set up a center for confronting extremist and Takfiri thought as well as Islamophobia observatory to rectify erroneous concepts about Islam.
It has also signed seven cooperation protocols inside and outside Egypt for spreading awareness about Islam.
