
The National Congress Party (NCP) has revealed on death of 57 citizens in the country due to floods and heavy rains that recently hit wide areas in the country, noting that the number of totally and partially damaged houses is over 26000 houses, asking mercy for martyrs and expressed sympathy to the affected citizens, assuring that situation is now under control and no international call for help has been directed to organizations abroad.
In a statement following the brief of the NCP Political Sector, the Secretary of the NGOs and voluntary work at the NCP, Ammar Bashari, expected increase of floods and rains, especially that the rainfall season is now in its beginning.
He noted that the number of the flood and rain-affected citizens in the country was over 26000 families.
