Defence minister attends military drill

Minister of Defense and Military Production Sedqi Sobhi attended on Wednesday a military drill carried out by a unit of the Second Field Army.

The drill comes to maintain the efficiency of Egyptian servicemen and improve their fighting skills in order to be able to face all challenges facing Egypt's national security.

Sobhi praised the level of performance and training shown by the Egyptian military personnel.

The Egyptian army is capable of facing any threat against national security, he noted. 

Sobhi said the Armed Forces will continue to support the political leadership, adding that the army will work hard to provide basic goods with the aim of alleviating the suffering of Egyptian citizens. 

The drill was attended by a number of the top brass.
