Defence minister greets President Sisi on Al Isra and Mi'raj

 Minister of Defense and Military Production Colonel General Sedky Sobhy sent a cable of greetings on Tuesday to President Abdel Fattah El Sisi, the Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, on the occasion of Al Isra and Mi'raj. 

In his cable, the defense minister told the president that the Armed Forces men fully believe in the noble and sublime values and principles the Prophet Muhammad left for the people to defend the creed and protect the national security of the homeland.

Chief of staff Lt. General Mahmud Hegazy also sent a similar cable to the president on the holy occasion which is observed on the 27th day of the month of Rajab, the seventh month in the Islamic calendar. 

This event marks the night in which Allah (God) took the Prophet Muhammad on a journey from Makka Al Mokarramah to Al Quds and then to heaven.
