
Defense Minister Sedqi Sobhi witnessed Monday military exercises of special marine forces.
The training focused on specialized fighting skills involving sports and diving and combat swimming, as well as rescue operations.
The minister lauded the distinguished performance of the naval forces in accomplishing all their specialized tasks and asked personnel to maintain training and efforts to be always ready for any risk.
Sobhi inaugurated a number of training, sports and administrative installations and met with all personnel of the naval forces.
During the visit, Naval Forces Commander Osama Mounir Rabi’e asserted, in a speech, the Armed Forces Command’s full support to the naval forces which received all needed requirements for continued development and modernization.
The minister delivered the greetings of President Abdel Fattah El Sisi to all members of the naval forces and conveyed his belief in their role in preserving security and stability of the whole nation.
At the end of his visit, the minister led an open discussion with all personnel regarding the recent developments at all levels and their impact on national security.
He also honored a number of personnel who were the best achievers in accomplishing their missions.
The gathering was attended by a number of military commanders.
