Doha hosts eighth meeting of speakers of the GCC parliaments

The works of the 8th meeting of Speakers of the GCC Parliaments and Shura Councils began Sunday in Doha, chaired by HE Speaker of the Qatari Advisory Council Mohammed bin Mubarak Al Khulaifi. 
HE the speaker of Advisory Council expressed his happiness that Doha is hosting the two-day meeting. He expressed his hope that the meeting supports joint GCC parliamentary work. 
HE the Speaker also thanked HH the Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani for supporting such meetings. Al Khulaifi wished HH the Emir and leaders of the GCC success in their efforts. 
HE the Speaker added that the meeting has become an important method of enhancing cooperation between GCC legislative bodies. His Excellency added that the meeting schedule is filled with many subjects and requires having outcomes on the same level of the aspirations of the GCC people.
