Drugs seized, dozens arrested in Jordanian police crackdown

Anti Narcotics Department personnel seized 130,000 drug pills, 7 kilograms of Hashish and 500 bags of Joker (cannabis) during a campaign in the country's north during the month of December, according to the Public Security Department (PSD).
The PSD media centre said many of those involved in the drug trade, including 27 promoters and 92 druggies, were captured during the crackdown.
The center stressed the public's support in the anti-narcotics effort, and called upon citizens to contact the PSD on the free emergency number 911, noting that any tip-off received is treated confidentially and personal details of those reporting any such activity are not sought.
