Hussain Nasser Lootah, Director-General of Dubai Municipality, has stressed that the municipality is following the path and directives of the Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, which emphasises that human capital is the largest investment a country can make.
Lootah was speaking during a grand ceremony organised by the civic body to honour some of the top leadership of the municipality who have recently retired after long years of service.
He said that the municipality has always striven to empower the human element as one of its most important elements of real wealth, and its most basic tool in strengthening the process of development in Dubai. "So, we put the youth of the nation in the focus of attention, and trust them, and count on them in their role in achieving development aspirations, and we are keen to open the doors of participation wide for them," said Lootah.
He explained that the municipality looks at the retired employees as the sons who exerted their best and fullest efforts, which permeated the directives of the Sheikhs of Dubai to make the city today as one of the largest, most organised and clean city in the world, treading the path of major countries in the construction boom, commercial, economic and tourism development, and regarded by all with respect and appreciation.
