Egyptian Chief of Staff Lt. General Mahmoud Hegazi on Saturday condemned the terrorist attack that targeted a mosque in al Qatif city in Saudi Arabia on Friday and left scores of worshipers dead and injured.
Speaking at the inauguration of a meeting with his Arab counterparts, Hegazi condoled with Saudi King Salman bin Abdel Aziz al Saud for the death of the victims.
"Such terrorist acts will only make us more insistent to uproot terrorism from our nations for our peoples to live in security and peace," Hegazi said.
Participants observed a minute of silence in mourning of victims of the Arab world.
