Egypt dismissed as baseless reports claiming that Libyan authorities had decided to sever relations with Egypt and granted the Egyptian ambassador in Tripoli just 48 hours to leave the country. "What has been said about Libya's severance of relations with Egypt is totally untrue," a source of the Egyptian Ministry of Foreign Affairs was quoted by Egypt's official news agency, MENA as saying. The source stressed that relations between both brotherly countries are "normal", saying that both sides are in touch with each other as usual on all levels. The Russia Today (RT) reported earlier in the day that Libya had given the Egyptian ambassador only a couple of days to leave this north African country.
