Egypt expressed its deep concern over the growing violence in Libya that threatens, if it spreads nationwide, the lives of innocent people in the capital.
Egypt is closely monitoring the current developments in Libya, especially Tripoli, Egyptian Foreign Ministry said in a statement issued Tuesday.
As the ministry is keen to raise Egyptian citizens' awareness toward security threats in Libyan territories, it appeals to them not to travel there in light of the current security situation, the statement added.
It urged all Egyptians living there to be very aware and cautious and not to go outside their workplaces or residences in the current period to save their lives and properties, it asserted.
