
Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukry left here on Tuesday, wrapping up his several days' visit.
In the US, Shoukry held meetings for promoting Egypt’s bid for a non-permanent seat on the UNSC for the years 2016 - 2017.
During the visit, Egypt's top diplomat took part in the 2015 Review Conference of the Parties to the Treaty on the Non-Proliferation of Nuclear Weapons ((NPT), which is currently being held in New York.
Shoukry also met with the foreign ministers of Netherlands, Algeria and Sweden and US Secretary of State John Kerry.
