Egypt FM's historic Somalia visit

Mohamed Kamel Amr became the first foreign minister of Egypt to visit Somalia after 22 years. In the framework of his visit, Amr came together with Somalia's President Hassan Sheikh Mahamud, Defense Minister Abdihakim Mohamud Fiqi and Foreign Minister Fawzia Yusuf Haji Adan. After his meeting with his Somali counterpart, Amr spoke at a joint press conference and said, "Our relations with Somalia rest on centuries. We would like to strengthen our cooperation in political, defense and humanitarian fields."
