Egypt's Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukry called on Tuesday for achieving and approving a Libyan political agreement by the House of Representatives by the end of this month to avoid looking into new alternatives.
The top diplomat made the remarks at the seventh meeting of foreign ministers of Libya's neighbors, which is being held in Algeria.
Shoukry stressed that political stability, development and economic prosperity could not be achieved amid insecurity.
"Egypt hopes that the armed militias would be dissolved and integrated into police once the deal is endorsed and a national unity government is formed," Shoukry added.
"Our support for Libya is our duty, which is dictated by the neighborhood rights and our close ties," he added.
He proposed to form a specialized action group to ease the impacts of the deteriorating humanitarian situation in Libya and look into ways to deliver urged aid to the Libyan cities besieged by terrorist groups.
He voiced deep concern over the spread of terrorism in Libya, including Daesh and other terrorist groups.
"Fighting terrorism is a complicated challenge for any upcoming Libyan government," he added.
He blamed lack of effective international efforts for the smuggling of weapons to Daesh.
The top diplomat called for focusing efforts to fight terrorism and secure the Libyan territories, including Tripoli, which is the mission of the Libyans away from international intervention.
He also urged more efforts on the international level to lift an embargo imposed on exporting weapons to the Libyan government so that it can do its tasks.
