
The CED Global Program seeks cooperation with Egypt over the safe handling of chemical substances, the program director and representative of the Chemical Security Program (CSP) said.
The program is affiliated with the US State Department.
The program director, speaking at a workshop on the safe handling of chemical substances, said cooperation with Egypt began since 2012 through organizing courses on chemicals.
The program is operating in Egypt, North Africa and Asia.
The workshop, organized by the Federation of Egyptian Industries (FEI), aims at getting acquainted with international initiatives as regards the safe handling of chemical materials and boosting partners everywhere to ban the abuse of chemicals, she added.
She welcomed maintaining cooperation with the Egyptian Chamber of Chemical Industries and the FEI in this regard.
