The Foreign Ministry has criticized a Human Rights Watch report on the crackdown on the protest camp in Rabaa el Adaweya two years ago, calling it "politicized" and "non-objective".
Egypt strongly condemns this report, which fails to realize the simplest levels of credibility and impartiality, said spokesman Ahmed Abu Zeid on Saturday.
The report was issued by an irrelevant party that is known for its selectivity and incredibility, Abu Zeid said in a statement.
Calls to conduct an international probe into measures taken to disperse the Rabaa sit-in are ridiculous, the spokesman said.
It is the same Human Rights Organization that never shed light on victims of the Egyptian army, police and civilians who fall to terrorism, the statement said.
It never turned an eye to officials who had been assassinated while on duty, the statement added.
The organization also insists on ignoring the terrorist nature of the group it is defending, he noted.
Egypt will never pay any attention to such politicized reports and false claims and will continue its development course, the spokesman concluded.
