
Sudanese Ambassador in Cairo Abdel Mahmoud Abdel Halim on Sunday said Egypt, Sudan and Ethiopia are keen to reach understandings on Ethiopia's Renaissance Dam.
In statements, the envoy said that the first day of the six-party meeting in Khartoum on the dam was held in a a positive atmosphere.
The three countries insist on achieving results that satisfy all parties, he added.
He expected that positive results would be announced in a final statement to be issued by the six-party meeting.
The ministers of foreign affairs and irrigation of Egypt, Sudan and Ethiopia ended their first talks day of the six-party meeting on the Renaissance Dam earlier in the day.
