
President Abdel Fatah El Sisi visited on Thursday the Korean parliament headquarters where he met with parliament speaker Chung Eui-hwa and a number of its members, presidency spokesman Alaa Youssed said.
During the meeting, Chung asserted the Korean parliament's confidence that Egypt will achieve a major breakthrough in all fields under its political leadership.
Sisi also held a meeting with Chung who thanked the president over his visit to the parliament premises.
Chung pointed out that Koreans are interested in visiting Egyptian tourist destinations.
Meanwhile, Sisi reviewed Egypt's successful steps in wrapping up the roadmap.
Egypt counts on Egypt's new parliament's role in activating the constitution that includes distinguished articles concerning rights and freedom, the president said, adding that the parliament is expected to draft a number of new laws.
Sisi also expressed Egypt's keenness on fostering relations with Korea including the Korean parliament.
He also hoped to revive the Egyptian-Korean parliament friendship association.
In the meantime, Chung hailed Egypt's leading role in the Middle East and its efforts to combat terrorism.
